I have general problems going into first from either neutral or second. When I'm stopped and in neutral, I sometimes get a light gear grind putting it into first. Other times it slides right in without even a clunk. Same thing when downshifting from second to first when I don't do it at exactly the right RPM (either too high or too low).
I don't have my service manual yet, so I'm not really in a position to offer suggestions as to what might be going on. In my case, I haven't yet performed the first service, and I'm hoping that switching to synthetic oil will help.
